What happens when your weekend NFL parlay goes to shit after the early game on Saturday? First, question every pick you made. Then, throw more money at the ones you still love. The Great Tommy knew betting against Andrew Luck was a tough call. He’s an elite quarterback. Luck also never produced in the playoffs until yesterday. Remember his last playoff game? The 2014 AFC Championship against the New England Patriots aka the “Deflategate” game. Luck went 12 of 33 for 126 yards with zero touchdowns and two INT’s. Four years ago he crumbled under the pressure of playing against the greatest quarterback of all-time in Tom Brady, but Deshaun Watson and the Texans defense couldn’t tighten one sphincter on Luck. The Great Tommy still loved the Seahawks. When the line went up to +2.5 he jumped on it and threw down $150 on another parlay. Dallas/Seattle over 43.5 and Seattle +2.5. The Seahawks lost by only two points and covered his bet. After showing his balls are not made of steel, but some space age material man has yet to discover, The Great Tommy was actually up $90 for the day when he finally went to sleep.
Now onto some Sunday action. So what does TGT do after pulling a tight game out and making back all the money he lost on his initial NFL parlay? You know he’s gonna keep the pedal down. It starts with a $240 money line bet on the Chargers at +125.
Then some classic Great Tommy shit. An overnight college basketball parlay. One of the reasons TGT loves to bet overnight is so he can get what he perceives to be the best number. You veteran degenerates out there know exactly what I’m talking about, but let’s break that down for the average asshole. When TGT places a bet on a Sunday afternoon college basketball game, he usually does it around 11pm on Saturday night in Las Vegas. Why? In his mind, he’s receiving the maximum value with his picks. It’s easy to be sold on Marquette -8 at home today but not so much if it jumps to -10 an hour before tip-off. The Great Tommy is getting in before people can start hacking up the number on a game he already liked and may still take at -10. Long term winners know this is where the skill of betting on sports comes into play. Is our boy TGT some sort of demi-god sports oracle? That’s debatable, but he is a sports book veteran of over 20 years who hasn’t lost his shirt yet. If you’re new to sports betting take note. Hopefully the vets out there appreciate this talk even more.
Xavier is young with a new coach and not yet well traveled. Woj will have this team ready for the home crowd. After losing by 20 points on New Year’s Day to St. Johns, Marquette shows up a different team.
Seton Hall is coming off an exhausting, emotional game and travels to Chicago where DePaul is on the rise. A young and talented team coming off a really close game at Villanova, you know they want this one bad. Good spot for a home dog here and maybe the wrong team is favored.
St. Bonaventure +5
Only because neither team should be favored in this game. St. Bonny is coming off a really bad loss at Syracuse, which was also aired on ESPNU. They just want this more than George Mason.
Jim Larrañaga shows what it’s like to be a professional coach and keeps this team focused and fighting for all 40 minutes.
Have a winning day ya’ll,
